COUNCIL OUTING ON SATURDAY!
On the 8th of Nov, 2008, the 41st Student Council met at Plaza Singapura, at 3.00 to watch the Quantum of Solace (whose plot was rather weak, but never mind the action scenes were awesome <3).
17 of us came!
The 3.30 movie, unfortunately, was packed, so we switched over to the later movie.
Those of us who came: Daniel, Charlyn, Maxine, Molina, Akshay, Jade, Qingwei, Melissa, Nithiya, Zixiang, Mi Dzung, Faris, Albert, Yu Hung, Eugene Ke, Shu Hui and me. [ YAY ALL OF CIA MADE IT]
We spent a lot of time camwhoring. I swear, the cameras were out in full force. We took pictures near the railing. We took pictures before the biig Quantum of Solace poster. We took pictures with each other. We took pictures in groups. The girls took pictures together, and then the guys took pictures. (Lennon and Qingwei, in particular =P)
After the movie we took even MORE pictures!
We took pictures on the escalator,
while walking,
on the bus,
after we got off the bus,
every five steps.
And so we got to Chong Pang like one and a half hours late. But it was still fun!
21 people came for the dinner: Daniel, Charlyn, Xiao Peng, Maxine, Jacq, Yurui, Mindy, Jade, Qingwei, Lennon, Geraldine, Zixiang, Yuexi, Letts, Tracy, Mi Dzung, Albert, Yu Hung, Eugene Ke, Shu Hui and me.
I think the worst part was the barbequing. Sorry, I'm not very good at it! XD
We were all seated in groups of 4 along this long long stretch of tables. I think we took up quite a lot of space (XD). Each group of 4 had this barbeque cum steam boat thing in the centre of the table, where you can either fry food or boil it. I think our fire must've been super hot or something, but our barbeque area quickly turned black, and carcinogenic-looking. AND THE BUTTER KEPT SPLASHING. Maxine was near me, and she kept squeaking when the butter sizzled. I don't blame her.
Sizzling butter= evil.
Most of them went home at about..9. Some of us- Mi Dzung, Zixiang, Albert, Yuexi, Eugene, Yu Hung and I- stayed for a bit more. Then we all walked out and went home.
I think it was quite worth my $18, after all. Even though we did smell like a barbeque afterwards.
The pictures should be all on Facebook soon! I'll get some people to post them up here.
Who's up for a picnic next! :)
love, rachel.
